The Poetry of White A celebration of Japanese textile heritage interpreted through the savoir-faire of French Haute Couture. The gown is entirely crafted from kimono textiles, preserving the beauty of their traditional hand-woven motifs. Each section of the textile is carefully considered and reconstructed to create a refined, elongated silhouette while giving new life to the original kimono. Beneath the textile, a precisely constructed corset provides the architectural foundation of the gown. It shapes and supports the body, transforming the traditional textile into a contemporary Haute Couture silhouette. The surface is then illuminated by French Luneville hand embroidery. Delicate beads and embellishments are individually applied in a spectrum of white tones—from soft ivory and cream to pearl and luminous crystal—creating depth, movement and a sophisticated play of light without overpowering the richness of the kimono textile. The result is a dialogue between two exceptional traditions: the heritage of Japanese hand-woven textiles and the precision of French Haute Couture craftsmanship. A kimono, transformed into couture.
