Look 01
From Kimono to Haute Couture This couture gown brings together the heritage of Japan and the savoir-faire of French Haute Couture. The entire garment is crafted from authentic kimono textiles, preserving the beauty of their hand-woven motifs and traditional Japanese craftsmanship. Rather than simply using kimono as a fabric, the garment reinterprets its heritage through a new couture silhouette. Beneath the kimono textile lies a precisely constructed corset, engineered to sculpt and support the body while creating the elongated, feminine silhouette characteristic of Haute Couture. The surface is further enriched with delicate French Luneville hand embroidery, with beads and embellishments individually applied to catch and reflect the light. The sparkle is intentionally subtle, allowing the richness of the Japanese textile to remain at the heart of the design. A meeting of two exceptional traditions: Japanese textile heritage and French Haute Couture savoir-faire.
